This book, that was my benchmark, Shoe Dog. It's one of the greatest entrepreneur autobiographies ever.
So if anyone who has not read Shoe Dog, it's a personal memoir by Phil Knight who was the founder of a little company called Nike.
Phil Knight, Shoe Dog is a pretty compelling example.
It is written in that same page-turning thriller style.
And so what I did was is I started reading books about people, memoirs, autobiographies about people who had done extraordinary things and really decided that those were going to be my mentors. I was going to take my lessons from those books. And it was everything from Shoe Dog by Phil Knight to Bird by Bird by Ann Lamont.
