Privacy policy
MentionedInPodcasts.com is operated by Voitto Virta LLC. This page explains what the site collects, who else receives data when you visit, and what you can turn off. Last updated September 22, 2026.
What we ask you for
Nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter and no contact form on this site. We do not ask for your name, your email address or any other personal detail, and there is nowhere on the site to give us one. If you email us, we have your message and your address because you sent them; we use them to answer you and nothing else.
Site search runs entirely in your browser. The search index is downloaded as a static file and queried locally, so what you type into the search box is never sent to us.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense. Google and its partners serve the ads you see and may set and read cookies in your browser to do it, including to show you ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites. This is Google's processing, not ours: we do not receive the data it collects, and we do not choose which ads you are shown.
You can turn personalized advertising off for your Google account at My Ad Center, and opt out of personalization by many other vendors at optout.aboutads.info and Your Online Choices. Google explains its own handling in its partner sites policy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies in your browser and gives Google your IP address, from which it derives an approximate location; we see only aggregate reports, never a name or an address. Google's privacy policy covers what it does with that data, and its opt-out add-on stops it for every site you visit.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not fingerprint or track you between sites.
Hosting and security
The site is served from our own server, with Cloudflare in front of it as a content delivery network. Both keep ordinary server logs — the page requested, the time, the IP address it came from, the browser's user agent — which we use to serve the site, to understand load and to block abuse. Cloudflare may set a cookie of its own to tell visitors apart from bots. Logs are not used to build profiles and are not sold or shared.
Affiliate links
Links to Amazon and Audible on this site are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Following one tells Amazon we referred you, which is how the commission is attributed; Amazon's own privacy policy governs what happens once you are on its site. The price you pay is the same either way, and a book's placement on this site is never affected by whether it earns us anything.
Other sites your browser contacts
Pages include links to podcasts, episodes and sources elsewhere. Following one hands you to that site, which applies its own policy.
Two things happen without you clicking. The site's typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives the request and with it your IP address and browser. And when you press Play on a clip, your browser fetches the episode audio straight from the podcast's own host rather than from us, so that host sees the request. We do not control either party's handling, and there is no tracking pixel, social widget or comment system anywhere on the site.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Your choices
Your browser can block or delete cookies, including the advertising and analytics cookies described above; the site works without them. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to ask what personal data an organisation holds about you and to have it deleted. We hold no account data to return, but if you believe we hold something of yours, write to us and we will answer.
Changes
When the tags, the ad network or the analytics on this site change, this page changes with them and the date at the top moves. There is no archive of previous versions.
