The best things said about it
There's so many childhood narratives that are really about this. I mean, The Secret Garden, all of the Narnia books, you know, about passing through a membrane or a border or a door or jumping into a pool and being in another world.
I read all the books like multiple times.
And I there's a line in um CS Lewis's Narnia books to the effect that this is, you know, in the same zone as Dracula and Dorian Gray and and all the others that um you're trying to either offer an alternative to or not, right?
There is a philosopher out there you know a guy by the name of CS Lewis who was this great Christian thinker. He wrote the chronicles of Narnia.
I mean the analogy I I give here is like The Lion The Witch in the wardrobe you know The Chronicles of Narnia where there's this whole Cinematic Universe.

Why people recommend it
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis is a beloved fantasy classic that transports children through a magical wardrobe into the mystical land of Narnia, where they aid a noble lion against an evil queen in an enduring allegory for faith and redemption. A panelist on The Charlie Kirk Show discussed reading all the Narnia books repeatedly while noting that adaptations had never reached the final book. Ross Douthat mentioned the Narnia books on Interesting Times to discuss themes of immortality, while W. Bryan Hubbard brought up Lewis's work on This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von in a discussion about Christian thinkers and despair. Robert Bortins referenced the series on The Shawn Ryan Show as a staple of homeschool curricula, and Mike Benz used Narnia on The Joe Rogan Experience as an analogy for the vast scale of the foreign policy establishment. Tim Ferriss discussed the series on his podcast as a bestseller operating as a Christian allegory, and Jennifer Egan referenced the Narnia books on Freakonomics Radio to discuss portal fantasy and childhood narratives.
