Hard Kick in the Nuts
What I've Learned from a Lifetime of Terrible Decisions
Why people recommend it
Hard Kick in the Nuts by Stephen Steve-O Glover and David Peisner is a memoir detailing the comedian and stunt performer's lifetime of wild experiences and poor choices. On an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Steve-O announced the title of his new release to host Joe Rogan, joking that the title fit him perfectly. Later, on StarTalk Radio, host Neil deGrasse Tyson welcomed Steve-O and enthusiastically highlighted the book, reading its full title, A Hard Kick in the Nuts: What I've Learned from a Lifetime of Terrible Decisions. Tyson repeatedly praised the volume, noting that Steve-O was a beloved original participant in the Jackass franchise. Throughout their conversation, Tyson and Steve-O discussed the amusing and self-deprecating nature of the title, clarifying that the content went far beyond simply getting kicked in the groin to explore profound lessons drawn from decades of chaotic escapades and personal growth. Tyson championed the work as a hilarious reflection on survival and maturity, while Steve-O reflected on how those wild years shaped his current outlook.
