Now there's this uh book that I really like by uh David Graeber, the sociologist who just recently died, uh called Jobs, uh and um it's about high-prestige, high-paid jobs which are actually pointless.
I started with this book called Bullshit Jobs, which — I was dealing with the bureaucracy of academia and feeling very frustrated. I read that book and it was very cathartic, and then I just went down the rabbit hole and have enjoyed all the other books.
There's even a full book on it called Bullshit Jobs where people just sit around and do nothing because the system requires them to do it.
