Warren Thomas Farrell is an American author, educator, and activist who has written about gender, particularly men's issues. Initially active in the second wave feminist movement of the late 1960s and 1970s, Farrell was a board member of the National Organization for Women in New York City and authored The Liberated Man, which explored how traditional gender roles constrained both men and women. During an appearance on The Jordan B. Peterson Podcast, Jordan Peterson asked Warren Farrell for a book recommendation on family communication patterns. Farrell recommended The Boy Crisis, which he co-authored with John Gray, noting that it focuses specifically on familial communication and mentioning that many men found particular value in its pages. Later, on The Megyn Kelly Show, Dr. Warren Farrell shared an anecdote about a young man who read The Boy Crisis and expressed that the book made him feel genuinely understood and that his internal thinking and attitudes were accurately seen.
