Jason Lee Whitlock is an American former sports columnist who currently hosts a program for the conservative media company Blaze Media titled Fearless with Jason Whitlock. Whitlock was a sports columnist at The Kansas City Star, AOL Sports, Foxsports.com, and ESPN. He was a radio personality for WHB and KCSP sports stations in the Kansas City area and played Division I college football at Ball State as an offensive lineman. On podcast appearances, Whitlock has discussed several well-known books and memoirs. He mentioned Stephen A. Smith's memoir Straight Shooter, explaining that he began reading it to prepare for a feud, and compared it critically to Barack Obama's Dreams from My Father by alleging that both books fabricated false personal narratives. Whitlock also discussed Michael Lewis's book The Blind Side in the context of news surrounding Michael Oher, noting that he re-read the book and contrasted Oher's views on the book with the adapted film. Additionally, he referenced George R.R. Martin's A Game of Thrones to illustrate his perspective on human nature and the lengths to which people will go in pursuit of power.
