but if you're not into that there are dozens if not hundreds of wonderful books out there that you can just pick up and and just peruse one of them that I'll quickly call out that I found extremely useful was Warren Buffett and the interpretation of financial statements Page by Page they just walk through the three financial statements that all companies are required by the law to report the income statement the balance sheet and the cash flow statement and they tell you exactly how Warren Buffett looks and thinks about each of those numbers so that is a that's a book that I just can't recommend highly enough

fast forward over time and I read a book by The Motley Fool called the Fool's investment guide That book really resonated with me and opened my eyes to the advantages of buying individual stocks and I got involved with their community over time and just became very very passionate about thinking about investing and investing with the long-term in mind
