The Plot Against the President

Why people recommend it

The Plot Against the President by Lee Smith is a political non-fiction book examining the origins of the Russia investigation and the controversies surrounding Donald Trump. On The Megyn Kelly Show, Devin Nunes discussed the book with the host, stating that Lee Smith had produced the definitive work on the subject. Nunes expressed his belief that Smith successfully exposed and nailed the underlying collusion and the narrative constructed behind the Russia investigation. According to Nunes, Smith accurately captured the events and the political forces at play during that tumultuous period in American politics. The book was highlighted to validate concerns about how the investigation was handled and to provide listeners with a detailed perspective on what the guest characterized as a coordinated effort against the administration. Nunes relied on Smith's publication to support his claims regarding the political machinations of the era, reinforcing the notion that mainstream narratives surrounding the investigation were flawed and properly dismantled within the pages of Smith's text. This endorsement served to direct audience attention toward a source that aligned with the guest's specific political viewpoint on the controversies.
