Obviously, the Buffett stuff is very worth reading, and there's the Cunningham book that takes all the letters and smushes them together because there's a lot of repetition. That's my favorite book.
The best things said about it
It's a compilation of uh night from 1964 i think up until 2010 or i forget the year of every single one of warren buffett's annual letters and what you'll notice i actually analyzed this his words per sentence actually gets shorter and shorter each year and i would argue that's because he's becoming a better writer and what's really.
Why people recommend it
The Essays of Warren Buffett by Warren Buffett and Lawrence A. Cunningham is a curated compilation of the legendary investor's annual shareholder letters organized by theme. The host of Cheeky Pint recommended Cunningham's compilation in October 2025, calling it a favorite read and noting that the volume cleverly streamlines the letters to remove repetitive material. Ali Moyes also discussed the book in June 2022 on My First Million, highlighting that it gathers Buffett's annual letters spanning from 1964 through the decades. Ali analyzed the writing style within the compiled texts, observing that Buffett's words per sentence steadily decrease over time, which she attributed to his increasing mastery of concise communication.
