Interview with the Vampire is one of the best horror books I've ever read.
Duncan Trussell · The Joe Rogan Experience · May 2024 Listen at 2:02:03 The best things said about it
You are going to be in New Orleans for the 50th anniversary celebration of Annne Rice's Interview with the Vampire, a book that has been adapted into a film and recently a TV series. You recently wrote a forward to a new edition of the book.
And so Stephen King who I continued to maintain an obsession with Tom Clansancy, John Gisham, Michael Kiteon, Anne Rice, all these people, I would see Jurassic Park or Interview with the Vampire or The Firm and I would read the book...
That was a great book by the way the book in the movie not the book list oh the style I've seen interview with a vampire.

Why people recommend it
Interview With the Vampire by Anne Rice is a seminal horror novel exploring themes of immortality, grief, and the dark allure of vampirism through the framing of a sweeping journalistic confession. Duncan Trussell strongly recommended the novel on The Joe Rogan Experience, praising it as one of the finest horror books he has ever read. On The Book Review, Gilbert Cruz discussed the enduring cultural legacy of Anne Rice's work around the fiftieth anniversary of its publication, noting its adaptation into major films and television series, and asked writer Leigh Bardugo about her recent introduction to a new edition of the book. Lewis Sacher appeared on The Book Review to discuss formative reading habits, recalling how watching cinematic adaptations of popular stories like Interview With the Vampire during his youth drove him directly to read the original books. Additionally, Tim mentioned the novel on Timcast IRL while casually discussing vampire literature, cinematic styling, and the enduring pop culture fascination with immortality and classic horror tropes.
