Matt Kibbe · Timcast IRL · Mar 2023 Listen at 2:01:33 Why people recommend it
House on Fire by Matt Battaglia is a dystopian comic book that presents a dark future where an oppressive government forbids citizens from leaving their immediate neighborhoods. Matt Kibbe brought up and promoted the publication on Timcast IRL during the episode titled Timcast IRL #742 Trump Indictment SUSPENDED, Soros DA UNABLE To Convince Jury To, which was released on March 24, 2023. Near the conclusion of the episode, Kibbe spoke about his friend Matt Battaglia and directed audience attention toward the newly released comic book project. He described the narrative as a dystopian story taking place in an unbelievable world defined by severe government restrictions on personal freedom of movement, specifically highlighting the chilling premise where authorities tell individuals they are not allowed to leave their neighborhoods. Through this endorsement, Kibbe helped promote his peer's creative work, framing the dystopian comic as a thought-provoking artistic commentary on authoritarian control, government overreach, and the restriction of civil liberties within a fictionalized society that mirrors contemporary anxieties surrounding government surveillance and localized mandates.
