Why people recommend it
Horror Movie by Paul Tremblay is a suspenseful psychological horror novel that follows the sole surviving member of a cursed, unfinished independent film from decades past as the project is slated for a terrifying reboot. On The Book Review podcast during the episode titled 10 Books to Check Out This Summer on July 18, 2024, Gilbert Cruz recommended the novel to listeners. When host Gilbert Cruz was asked what he was looking forward to reading during the summer, he humorously noted that while he visits a psychic every month, he was particularly eager to dive into a horror novel in which no psychics play any part. Cruz recommended the book as a thrilling summer read, highlighting its appeal for fans of contemporary horror fiction and compelling storytelling.
