I'm also really curious to see what the sales and fan response will be to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which is being published it's a screenplay of course she wrote it this time so unlike the play these are her words.
Why people recommend it
Fantastic Beasts by J. K. Rowling is a magical screenplay that extends the beloved Harry Potter universe into the North American continent. On the podcast The Book Review, guest Alexander Alter discussed the forthcoming publication of the Fantastic Beasts screenplay during the episode titled Inside The New York Times Book Review: 'How to Be a Person in the World' in July 2024. During this discussion, Alexander Alter expressed personal curiosity about how well the book would sell and how the broader fan community would respond to it. Unlike previous theatrical scripts associated with the franchise, Alexander Alter highlighted the fact that J.K. Rowling wrote this particular screenplay herself, meaning the published pages contained her distinct words. Furthermore, in an additional episode of The Book Review titled Inside The New York Times Book Review: Megan Abbott’s ‘You Will Know Me’ also broadcast in July 2024, Alexandra Alter referenced the book again. During this second conversation, Alexandra Alter characterized the release as an intentional extension of the broader Harry Potter universe into North America. These podcast segments provided literary enthusiasts with valuable insights into the publishing event surrounding J.K. Rowling's screenplay.
