Critical race theory by Kimberle Crenshaw, Neil Gotanda, and Garry Peller is an influential foundational text that collects essential legal writings shaping the academic movement. The book was discussed across multiple podcast episodes as public figures debated education and curriculum policies. On Timcast IRL, host Tim Pool brought up the book multiple times, suggesting that critics or observers should examine its literal pages to understand the core ideology and its presence in modern education. Pool also referenced Crenshaw's work during a conversation about the nuances of historical context and race, while guest Jack Murphy mentioned the volume on the same show while debating whether students are directly assigned readings from it in classrooms. Similarly, on Modern Wisdom, guest Carl Benjamin referenced the book edited by Crenshaw while examining essays on legal strategy and critical theory.
