Why people recommend it
Artorian's Archives Omnibus by Dakota Krout and Dennis Vanderkerken is an imaginative LitRPG fantasy novel that blends role-playing game mechanics with a richly detailed fictional universe. On the podcast Timcast IRL, host Tim Pool discussed the book during a livestream broadcast on March 2, 2021, titled Timcast IRL #234 - Media Scream APOCALYPSE Over Trump Hinting 2024 Run w/Cassand. Pool addressed a super chat inquiry from a viewer who had asked for book recommendations during a previous broadcast. In response, Pool recommended the author Dakota Krout to the audience. He humorously pitched the Artorian's Archives series to Tim and his co-hosts by describing it with a compelling conceptual comparison, asking them to imagine a scenario featuring John Wick acting as a philosophical foster parent situated within a medieval fantasy setting complete with magic. This engaging summary directed fans of imaginative fiction and gaming-inspired literature toward a fresh, action-packed reading experience recommended directly by the community.
